Hi I'm Coulette

I'm a Southern California girl! I love music and I play the piano and flute. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I have been playing the piano for thirteen years and the flute for nine. I love to read! I absolutely LOVE roller coasters and jumping from heights. I hope to skydive one day. I love to travel, learn about different cultures, and meet new people. I love to learn basically anything I can, and I hope to study abroad one day.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, and I have loved the blessings that has given me. Because the gospel is so family-oriented, I have fond memories of being together as a family. I remember having Family Home Evening every Monday night and reading the scriptures together every morning before school. We also prayed together, morning and night, and since there was seven people in my family we each had a day of the week where it was our turn to pray. :) My parents always taught us about Christ and about how we could better ourselves by following his example. Every day was spent learning about the gospel and growing together as a family. I was always encouraged to do the right thing, to apologize when I made a mistake, and to serve others whenever I could. Living the gospel has given me a direction in my life. I have been able to make good decisions because of my moral standards. I am happy! I feel of my Heavenly Father's love for me daily, reminding me how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family and high standards. I know that this church is true. Every time I read the Book of Mormon or read about Joseph Smith's life I am filled with such a peaceful, confirming feeling that it is true. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and that he loves all his children and wants them to return to Him. I am here now to remember the plan I already knew and loved so much before I came to Earth. I am here to help and serve his children, to receive a body, and learn the things I need to learn before returning to Him again. I love my Savior so much. I'm so grateful Heavenly Father sent his son to Earth to provide a way for all his children to return back to him. I know I can turn to Heavenly Father with anything, and he will always be there to listen and give direction. I love this gospel so much, and I know with all of my heart that it is true!

How I live my faith

At home, I often played the flute for church choirs, for funerals, and during church services. I would also play duets during these events with my younger sister who plays the oboe. I have served as the Family Home Evening leader for a group of about 20 students in my ward at BYU. Every Monday night, we find a service activity, play a game together, or index together. It's nice to have time set aside for things like that, and I love that calling!
