Hi I'm Kyler

I have been playing the piano for 11 years. I am currently serving in the Taiwan Taipei Mission. I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

The gospel and my family are the center of my life and music is next! I have always loved music my whole life. I taught myself how to play the piano when I was eight years old, and I started up lessons a couple years later. I also learned how to play the viola, clarinet, and the organ. I was the ward organist in my home ward since I was 14. I have always loved a vast array of musical genres, but I find film soundtracks and Celtic music to be my favorites. They allow my mind to relax and imagine. I plan to major in film composing (media music) when I go to college. I have many inspirations for composing, and I want to be able to share my talent with any opportunity. I love nature. I love the ocean and coral reefs. My favorite season is Autumn. I love the colors and the overall atmosphere of Autumn. I also love astronomy; I love looking at the night sky and learning about all that is out there. I want to travel! My dream is to travel to Ireland to enjoy the nature and the historic culture. I also want to travel to Europe, and to world-renowned beaches and coral reefs.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I had to receive my own answer to find out if this church is true. This answer came from God through sincere prayer. I love everything about this gospel. It brings me peace and joy. By following the standards of the LDS church I am able to have a very happy lifestyle. I find joy in reading the Book of Mormon, as well as the Old Testament, New Testament, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. I know that each of these books hold true doctrine, and they all testify of Christ and help us know what to do and how to live. I know that Jesus Christ, our elder brother, did atone for our sins so that we could be forgiven of them and return to live with God in heaven if we repent. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the true, and living Prophet chosen by God to lead Christ's true church on the earth today. I know his teachings are based on revelation he receives from Heaven, and I know he is a spiritually powerful man that is loving to everyone. I know that families can be together for eternity, through Temple marriage and Sealing. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not just a belief, but it is a way of living. It is real life. I am a Mormon because this gospel gives me hope. Its teachings are truth. We are all God's children, and he loves all of us. I am a Mormon, because I know this gospel will help me return to live with him for all eternity, and I want to share this comfort and joy with others.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Taiwan Taipei Mission. I chose to serve a mission because I feel it is a small sacrifice and a big service I can contribute to the God whom I serve. Because I know that God is my Heavenly Father, I strive everyday to be an influence for good and to be the kind of person He would want me to be. As a missionary, I go out the door everyday with a companion to let people know about the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to let them feel of God's love. I love the people that I teach and serve enough to help them know that they can reach a higher potential and can qualify for the Kingdom of God through faith and hard work; through commitments and covenants. I know I have been called of God to represent Jesus Christ in proclaiming the Restored Gospel.
