Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in Texas. I am now a wife and a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived the gospel my whole life. Born and raised in it. I feel though, that I truly converted into the church at age 17 when I discovered that the church is true. I have been determined since to be the best member that I can be. I was attending college to become a teacher when I met my husband and we got married. We now have a daughter who is as cute as can be! I am into scrap booking and taking pictures. I love how pictures can show moments in people's lives where they felt was worth recording and remembering. I love cooking! I am not a pro or anything, but my mother taught me and I continue to experiment and learn by myself. As I mentioned above, I am becoming a teacher. I love to teach children and to help them discover the world. Children bring me so much joy and now that I have one of my own, I am even more happy. I decided to become a teacher because of my love of children. I feel that children are one of the greatest joys in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to learn for myself that the church is true. Our church has a living prophet and apostles which I follow and listen to because I know they are called of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and the most correct book in the world. I will say that living the gospel is not always easy, but because I know that it is true I know that it is worth. I have seen in my own life that whenever I live the gospel, I am truly happy. The only way I can find true peace in my heart is through living the gospel. I have no doubts and that is why I am a Mormon and I will always be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my constantly trying to improve myself and be the best person I can be. I know I am not perfect, but I strive to live the standards of the church and to share those standards I have with others.I don't drink alcohol or smoke. I dress modestly and respect my body by not getting piercings or tattoos. I don't swear or talk inappropriately. I live happily because I have the church in my life. In my ward, I am currently a ward missionary with my husband. We encourage others to live the gospel and to share the gospel to others who aren't of our faith. I am also a visiting teacher in my ward with another sister companion and we teach two other sisters. Our purpose is to help them, give them gospel messages, and to be there for them if they need a friend.
