Hi I'm Will Higham

I'm from Idaho, USA. I love to be outdoors and golf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of my family of five, four boys and one little girl. I love to be active and outside. Golf is my favorite sport. Growing up I got to spend a lot of time with my brothers and parents on the golf course. It provided us a way to enjoy the outdoors together, create memories, and to get a little competitive. Golf has also been a source of many new friendships for me and my family. Also, I enjoy reading, painting, tennis, basketball, hiking, running, and I've recently taken up skiing! For the next two years I will be serving a mission in Birmingham, England. I'm excited to meet new people and share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ that has brought my family and myself so much happiness and peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in an active Latter-Day saint family, but like everyone I had to come to know of the truth for myself. Growing up I heard countless testimonies of family members and peers of the Book of Mormon. Hearing other's testimonies did help strengthen me in the church, but I had to go deeper than my family and friends accounts. I studied and prayed. I am not going to say that my answers came quickly or easily. Over about a year of reading of the Book of Mormon, praying to God our Heavenly Father, and pondering my testimony, I finally felt as if I received an answer. It wasn't a dramatic event, but it was enough. A peace came over me testifying that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His Church on the Earth, and that following His commandments will bring me happiness here on Earth and in the eternities to come. I know that if for the rest of my life, I do my best to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that it will be enough. Through His infinite atonement and grace I can have eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

Growing up I attended church on Sundays, was active in the church's youth programs, and tried to follow Jesus Christ's teachings. Now that I am a young adult in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have new opportunities to live my faith! While at college I attended Institute of Religion classes that are taught at colleges across the country. It was a great experience and my testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel grew with every lesson. Also while at college, I chose to serve a two-year mission for the church. During this time I will leave my home and serve the people of England for two years. All my energy will be put in to lovingly sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this Church is true and it brings me joy. That is why I want to share it with others. So that they can share in the joy that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings.
