Hi I'm Mike

my home is in Jersey, I'm retired and love life.... oh and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am nearly 40 yrs married with 2 married sons, a daughter and 3 grandsons. I enjoy sea fishing, genealogy and photography. I worked in Public Health in the ambulance service for 33 years, 22 on the road as a paramedic and 11 as a control officer.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I became a mormon, I was a so called athiest. My wife had been looking for the truth for a number of years and she met two young missionaries who called at our home. We invited them in and although I wasn't interested at first, I couldn't deny that when they visited us, they brought with them a "good" feeling. I now know that feeling to be the Holy Spirit and it is that which testified to my soul that God lives and that Jesus is The Christ. I know that through Christ's Atonement we are able to have our sins forgiven and return to our Heavenly Father, together with our families, sealed together for eternity. I am a far from perfect being but I know that Jesus Christ took upon himself, in the Garden of Gethsemane, not only my sins, but the sins of the world. I know that through his sinless sacrifice, his death on the cross and his resurrection on the third day, that all mankind will also be resurrected and that the price was paid by him and him alone. I know these things not because of what I have been told, but by the Spirit of God which testifies to my soul that they are true........and you can find this out for yourselves too, put it to the test, you have nothing to lose but literally everything to gain.

How I live my faith

Pretty much everyone I know is aware that I am a mormon and am quite happy to share my beliefs with anyone if they are interested. I have served as a bishop for 9 years and almost all priesthood callings in my home ward in Jersey over the last 37 years. I currently serve in the London Temple as an ordinance worker for part of the year.
