Hi I'm Nyla

I'm a sister. I'm a daughter. I'm a writer. I'm a babysitter. I'm a student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school student in Pennsylvania. I have 4 brothers and sisters, a mom and a dad. I like writing, singing, acting, and making people laugh. I love going to church and learning more about the gospel. I love having fun and dancing, but I can be mature at times. I play guitar and love sports, any aspect of them. I love my family and my classmates. Even though I am one of a few Mormons at my school, I enjoy being an example to my peers and family.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was visited by the missionaries one day and immediately listened to their wonderful words. He joined when I was about 5, and my mother joined a year later. Since then, my uncle, grandmother, and grandfather have joined and practice their faith. I was not technically born into the church, but I was baptized at age 8. I've never strayed from the iron rod, only because i feel so deeply compelled with this gospel. I have to come to realizations through others' testimonies and my patriarchal blessing. I know that my Redeemer lives and that Joseph Smith was the first latter-day prophet. Thomas S. Monson prophesies to the world today, and I love that every meeting, every lesson feels directed to exactly what i need to work on with my life. It feels so personalized, in such a broad atmosphere.

How I live my faith

I am now the only Mia Maid in my war after being the Beehive president for two years. I love to serve others, from helping people move to planning ward socials. I always pay attention in Sunday School and Young Women classes because I believe there is so much more to learn in this life. I enjoy helping converts out so they can live with our Heavenly Father again. I strive to be like my Savior Jesus Christ, because without him, none of this would be possible.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can only know for yourself. No one else can make you learn or believe something. you have to pray to Heavenly Father with a sincere heart. Ask him with all your heart, and your question(s) will be answered. Show more Show less
