Hi I'm Brian Wheeler

I was born in Laie Hawaii and grew up in Hauula Hawaii. I love nature and being in the mountains.

About Me

I like to exercise and help people when I can. I love playing any kind of sport and hanging out with friends. I'm always smiling with friends and though I'm not good at it, I like to make music, usually with my ukulele. I enjoy making new friends and hanging out with old ones and I try to never lose anyone close. I love my work at PCC and going to BYU-Hawaii was a great opportunity for me. I want to get my degree in Computer engineering when I return from my mission in Japan Nagoya and live in hawaii to raise my family in the community I grew up in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but throughout my life all of the people I've interacted with it seems like Mormons have something else that makes them happy. I didn't know what it was when I was younger but as I grew up I learned and realized that with was the spirit of God with them! They give service and do the best they can to give all their talents to help and I just love getting to help people and feeling all good afterwards. that feeling of peace and accomplishment makes my time here so much better to live and know that my life actually helped someone. The love of God works the same way because through service and charity, we become closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We can become closer to them through all of our actions with others on the Earth and how we love each other. That's our biggest goal in life. If we all loved each other like Chirst, we would have no wars or anger or negativity. We would still have trials, but life would be easier because we could trust everyone. I want to help people know there is still hope for a kind world out there with my trust and love for each of them and other people like me too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to show love to all I meet. I do my best to be an example of christ and really care for people. I love talking to new people and making friends but at the same time I am really shy. In my community of La'ie almost everyone is Mormon so finding new non-member friends is a little hard, but when I do find some and they ask why I'm so happy, it's the perfect time to talk about the church and Gods love that I feel. I know that they like me not so much because my personality but because I've been blessed with the gift of portraying God's love. It's one of my few talents but it's my favorite to share. during church I try to be an example for others to look up at. I want everyone that I run into feel God's love and if he gives it to them through me then that's great! I know that I can show his love more when I pray daily and read the scriptures. Being a missionary now I love to read Alma's story in the Book of Mormon and how much he had to go through to become a great missionary. He's a great role model to me and I hope like the faith he has in God I can get too so I can be the best missionary I can.
