Hi I'm Tisha

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I am in college studying to become a professional musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college, studying piano with an emphasis in pedagogy. I love sharing my music through performance and teaching. I enjoy being active and have pursued this interest in many ways from running to martial arts to dancing. My father is from Mexico and my mother is from the US, so I have a deep love for the traditions, languages, and cuisine of both cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel is who I am. I love it with all my heart and I know it is true. As I read my scriptures, pray, and follow the teachings of the Savior, I am able to live a life full of peace and joy. There have been trials and hard times that I've had to face in my life, but through my relationship with the Savior I have found the strength to make it through and to find what I call deep down bubbly happiness. I know the Lord keeps a close watch on my life. He loves me. He loves you. Everything that is wonderful and true in my life stems from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My love of music gives me opportunities to serve in my church. I've been blessed to play the organ and piano for our Sunday worship meetings and I've also been able to sing in the ward's choir. I also have the wonderful calling of visiting teacher, which means I have specific women who I am assigned to teach in their homes each month. I get to visit with them and help them so that they know there is always someone they can call if they need a friend. Another fun way I get to serve my ward is through my calling of Home Evening leader. I plan fun activities for every Monday night, when my neighbors stop what they're doing for an hour or two and we spend time together having fun and learning more about the gospel.
