Hi I'm Dale Stewart

I was born and raised a Mormon. I grew up in Alberta, Canada and have lived in Ottawa, Canada for the last 33 years.

About Me

I was raised in Alberta and went on a mission to France for 2 1/2 years as a young man. I went to university at the University of Alberta and received a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education. I have also received training as a Family Therapist. I have taught at University, worked for the government as Director of Management Training and for 30 years was an independent Management Facilitator and Business Process Consultant. I am currently retired and my wife and I are going to France for a two year mission for the LDS Church in May 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received sufficient communication from God that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored again on the earth. I believe the gospel (Good News) is the following: 1. God Lives 2. He sent his Son (Jesus Christ) to come to the earth as a mortal to be our Saviour by suffering in spirit and death for our sins. 3. We need to have faith in Jesus that He is the Saviour, 4. We need to repent of our sins, 5. We need to be baptised by immersion after we have repented, 6. We need to received the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands by a person who holds the Priesthood of God and become a member of His Church, 7. We need to live the commandments (Love God and Love our neighbour) until we die. Of these things I bear witness they are true.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Sunday School teacher of adults and we cover the gospels in the LDS Church (Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants). I also as an assistant to the leader of our High Priest group and I sit on the Public Affairs group in our Stake (a group of Wards or Parishes). I help organize special event like Ward Christmas Dinners, making sub sandwiches for youth and adults, baking auctions for girls camp. The thing I enjoy the most is teaching adults.
