Hi I'm Leslee

People and words inspire me. I write down everything. I'm curious. I want my mind to grow. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of ten children, living among the Saints in Rexburg, Idaho. My family moved her when the Ricks College converted to the four year university, BYU-Idaho and my father was offered a job as a Chemistry teacher. We have lived in this miniature Zion ever since. I love calling it home. I served my mission in Spain, Madrid (March 2013-August 2014). I count it as one of the biggest blessings of my life. It was a time of refinement and enlightenment. I was taught the importance of consecration to building up the kingdom and trusting in God and his plan for me and his children. My desire to be a part of it exponentially increased. Although, it was a challenging experience, I was able to become a stronger person and realized that God, while I was serving him, had healed my whole being. He showed me the true path of happiness. I am currently studying Biochemistry at BYU-Idaho and slowly learning how to find spiritual joy in the process of learning to be able to contribute to the kingdom where I am called upon now and in the future. I love feeling my mind stretch and grow.

Why I am a Mormon

The church offers stability and security-- a constant in life. In a world obsessed with fads and trends, the church is based on eternal truths and principles. God is God, and will always be God. He will always be our Father, and he will always have a son, Jesus Christ, that completed the atonement for us, that we may become complete and perfect. Docterines as these, and well as other principles taught in the church, are not a fad that will fade, or a trend that will go out of style. If we stay close to the spirit we can know of their truth. The world is always swirling around us, separating us into sections, classes, based on gender, race, age, etc. The doctrines taught are universal truths that apply to everyone. God will always be looking to bless his children. He does not wish to withhold anything from us. If we are true to his commandments we will receive these blessings. These are promises that he will keep according to our faithfulness. He wants our lives to be enriched with experience and growth. He will provide us with opportunities to grow to eventually reach our divine potential. God is good and We are blessed.

How I live my faith

I attended a church university, where faith and the church is part of my everyday life. I daily try to incorporate the Holy Ghost into my everyday learning, and this has been a blessing in my life. It is lovely to be surrounded by people that believe the same way I do. It boosts my testimony and light. I attempt to be spiritually productive each day by making small changes everyday to be able to more fully reach my divine potential.
