Hi I'm Kate Kimball

I love the beach, I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Orange County, California, I have always loved being outside in the sunshine. Now as a sophomore in college I am studying American humanities and learning to love the snow. I recently returned from an eighteen month church mission in Peru and found great joy in that service. Though not in Peru anymore, I am finding ways to serve my friends and family here at home.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living the teachings of Jesus Christ has filled my life with joy. When I obey the words of the living Prophet, I see blessings come into my life. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith who was willing to face persecution in order to bring back God's Church to the earth. When I read the Book of Mormon I am reminded of the infinite love that Heavenly Father has for me and for all of His children. He showed us that love by sending His Son, Jesus Christ to the Earth. I know the Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. As I have prayed to be forgiven and for the ability to forgive, I have felt my heavy burdens lifted. I have seen the power of Christ change many lives. That power to change gives me hope and that's why I'm a Mormon. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and am so grateful to know that if I follow the principles that He set, I will find joy and peace in this life as well as in the heavens.

How I live my faith

I love all the little things I can do to put my beliefs into action. Daily scripture study is essential for me. I love reading the word of God; it guides me to know how I can better love and serve those around me. Prayer, or communication with God, supports me through tough times and motivates me in the happy moments. I feel so close to my Father in Heaven when I openly tell him everything I'm feeling. I also love visiting the temple. That is where I find lasting peace and grander perspective. Sometimes as a college student it's tough to not get wrapped up in my life and my wants but, I always find the greatest joy and sense of accomplishment in life when I use my time in the service of others. Even a simple smile to a stranger helps connect us as children of God.
