Hi I'm Alex Enslow

I was born in Maryland, USA. I have traveled all over the united states. I am an aspiring world traveler. I am a mormon.

About Me

I live in a family of eight, my two parents, four brothers and one sister. I live in Utah and love the mountains. I love exercising and anything adventurous. Traveling is also a passion of mine. I want to be able to travel the world and see all of the different cultures. I do theatre a lot and I love studying film. Especially set design. I went to BYU-Idaho for a semester but I recently was called to serve in the lands of the Netherlands and Belgium. I will be leaving in May.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young teen, I searched for something other than my family's church to make me happy. My family was LDS but I did not believe. I tried to find happiness and all I ended up with was sorrow. One day, I decided to explore the church more myself. I began to read everything, watch everything and visit everywhere that had to do with the church. I started to realize that there was no other way for me to find true happiness unless I would repent and follow my Heavenly Father with exactness. It wasn't easy but IT WAS WORTH IT. Now I am preparing to serve my mission and I am always finding new ways to serve my Father, my church, my family, my friends and myself. I am very happy.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in Sunday school. I teach High school seniors. I love my class and love to serve others. I help the local missionaries by giving them rides and taking them to church events.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Alex Enslow
In the beginning years of the 1800's, Joseph Smith was a boy with many questions. These questions were very much like the ones that many people have now: Where am I from? Where am I going? What should I do? A question greatly troubled young Joseph's mind: What church is true? He pondered this question daily and in the Spring of 1820 he was lead to read a scripture that would not only answer his question but would change the world forever. He was reading the Bible, an activity he frequently did, when he came to the passage of James 1:5. It read, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Never had a passage had such an impact on him. So he did as James had directed and went to ask of God on a bright spring morning. As Joseph prayed, he was encircled in a pillar of light and two personages "whose brightness and glory defy all description" came to him. They were God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. God had once again chosen a prophet, much like Moses, Noah and many others from the Bible, to be on this earth once more. Joseph was commanded to reestablish Christ's true church on the earth again. Joseph Smith was a true prophet of the living God and this was his mission, to bring the fullness of truth and doctrine to the earth once more. Show more Show less
