Hi I'm Paul

After 47 years married I finally joined the Church. I continually feel the blessings of my decision. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a life-long Mormon. I have 2 boyes who served missions and led the way to my conversion. I love the Church and the influence it has on me. I am retired to a more busy life than when I was working. I enjoy wood carving, and stained glass. I work as an expert for BrainMass.com answering questions for students around the world. I have 6 grandchildren. My geneology is Italian and Irish and I enjoy working for my ancestors. My wife and I work in the Temple on Thursdays and it helps us re-focus and enjoy life a lot more.

Why I am a Mormon

I am married to a life-long member. We enjoyed our 50th Anniversary recently. We were married for 47 years before I joined. I joined the Church because I knew the Church was true. This was facilitated by excellent friends in the Church that Shared their testimony and didn't Push their testimony on me. Many times I felt that pushy members actually felt they were better than me. But my faithful and loving friends that shared their testimonies with me led me to being less stiff-necked and open to the Spirit. I recall understanding that the Church is a Church of Happiness. I knew that I would experience happiness more than I could imagine. It is true - my wife and I are more happy today than we were in the beginning of our marriage. My service in the Church has simply strengthened my testimony and belief in Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the Stake and am humbled by the calling. In my time in the Church (4 years) I have been blessed with callings in teaching Gospel Doctrine, helping members with employment issues, leading men in the church, and callings in the Stake. My Home teaching calling is a sacred calling that brings everyone together and helps ensure our brothers and sisters are not missed. I have many experiences as a Home Teacher that show without a doubt this calling is effective and necessary. As a leader in the Church I have been amazed at the strong member testimonies. I enjoy being with them as it helps me understand my role as a Christian.
