Hi I'm Noelani Nagamine

I'm a Hawaii girl. I'm a ballroom dancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Hawaii, but am currently residing in Utah, where I attend school. I am double majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Ballroom Dance. I compete nationally in Ballroom, and perform all over the state and nation. I also love baking, eating, blogging, singing, and just having fun with my loved ones. I have been dancing for 15 years, and if it weren't for dance, I would have never found the Church. When I was 14 years old, my family went through a really tough time, but my dance teachers were such a great support. They introduced us to the Church. We began meeting with missionaries, and in a short time, made the decision to be baptized! A year later, we were able to go to the Laie Hawaii Temple, where we were sealed as a family for time and all eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, why not? I truly believe this is the true Church upon the face of the earth today. I have seen what life is like without the Church in my life, and even though I thought life was as good as it could be, I knew there was something missing. Now that I have the Church, I am even happier than ever before. The Church provides guidance in my life and a knowledge of who I am, why I am here, and where I am going. Knowing that I am a loved daughter of God, makes me smile. I know that I have someone who loves me and cares for me. God has given me so much, that there is nothing I would rather do, than serve Him with all my heart. That is why I am a Mormon, so that I can serve Him. One of the ways that I can do that, is by sharing my knowledge with others.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the local President of the women's organization created in the Church. Serving as the President keeps my life very busy, but I love every minute of it. I am able to help girls in my area live good and happy lives. I drive girls who need rides, have girls' nights with girls who just need some fun and relaxation, but most of all, I love these girls and try to support them to the best I can. I also live my faith daily, as I go to school. Despite the fact that majority of my campus is filled with Mormons, I still strive to live the way I know. I try to dress in a wholesome manner, while making sure my language isn't vulgar. I believe it is through the little things I do, that help others see that I live my faith daily.
