Hi I'm Austin

I'm a proud son, brother and grandson, I'm an athlete, I love life and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a grandson, son, brother and uncle to the best family anyone could have and can't wait to enjoy the blessings of having a family of my own one day. I currently am working and attending school. I love sharing the gospel with others and am proud to be a Mormon. I was born in Arizona, lived in California, Idaho, Texas and now I live in Utah. I love other cultures and learning about people of other faiths and cultures, I hope one day to travel the world and see as many temples as I possibly can. I'm an avid fan of sports, I love playing sports, I'm just an all-around sports geek.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? Being Mormon is bomb! I am Mormon because I believe it to be the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. To say I've always been ecstatic to be Mormon would be a lie. I think growing up in the church many people, like me, struggle with gaining a testimony of their own and praying to know for themselves if the church is true. Sometimes I thought since I was raised in the church, that knowledge would just come to me, but man was I wrong. When you hit a point where you really don't know what is true, it gives you room to stray from the gospel. Fortunately, I've been so blessed with having such great family, friends and relentless Heavenly Father that I truly know that this church is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was very blessed to receive a mission call at the age of 19, as embarked on the new journey I was afraid but confident in my decision. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out and I'm now not an RM, but an ERM. For me this was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with, I never thought I'd ever be in that situation. Not many people will experience this, but as weird as it may sound, I'm grateful for the impact it has had on my life. Nothing would've beaten finishing my mission, but as an ERM I learned valuable lessons that have helped me become a stronger member of the church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is such a special gift that I have and the opportunity to share it with others just flat out makes me excited. It brings me so much joy and happiness to be a member of this church and I know that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to the people around me, I know I'm not perfect but it doesn't take perfection to have an impact on someone's day. I believe the best way to be myself is allowing the things that I love most to show with everything I do, my faith is important to me and it's important to let it help direct me in every part of my life. I'm proud to be a Mormon and I'm not ashamed to tell anyone. I love the Book of Mormon and know it to be the word of God. I love being with the missionaries as much as possible and I know missionary work is one of the greatest gifts our Heavenly Father has given us. When I'm with the missionaries there is an indescribable spirit with me and I'm just happy.
