Hi I'm Thomas Anthony

I have grown up in Utah. I love sports, music and friends. I speak Cambodian. And I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at BYU. I love having fun with friends and family. Something very important to me is my music. I love playing the piano and the guitar. I also love singing! Another thing i love is sports. My favorite sport is Basketball and play it regularly and also I watch it regularly. I am always preparing my bracket for March Madness, one day I will have a perfect bracket. I recently returned from my mission in Cambodia. I loved serving the Lord in Cambodia. I saw miracles everyday. I have come to love the people of Cambodia and miss them so much. I could spend the rest of my days serving them. Coming back from my mission hasn't been easy, I miss the joy from serving and never thinking about myself. I now am at BYU, I am loving my experience, but it's just not quite the same as my mission, but I'm trying to make the best out of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I feel good living by the LDS standards. Being LDS I strive to be a good person. Being the best person I can be comes from striving to do whats right. When my life seemed to be slipping and nothing was right I set my sights on what others had to make them happy. So many of my friends were living a life that I wish I had. They always were happy, why? Well it dawned on me that they were trying to be like Christ. When I realized I needed to turn around it was hard. There are some things that I was doing that needed to stop so I could feel happy. One thing that I needed to do was to stop hanging out with people that brought me down. It seemed that some of my friends didn't want to follow the gospel, but other friends of mine did. The ones that didn't I had to tell them no more, and I started only hanging around people that brought me up. The thing that really built me up was reading my scriptures and feeling the spirit. The spirit came into my life again. Christ lifted my burdens off of me and the spirit fillled me with peace. The peace I have felt from turning my life towards Christ has changed me forever. I can never deny what I felt, and what I felt is why I am Mormon. I am Mormon because it makes me happy. My favorite scripture that sums up my testimony Mosiah 2:41

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to all those around me. I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. With the standards of the world changing its hard to always stay true to the Gospel. But the joys and blessing that come from obeying our Heavenly Father are amazing. I live my faith by trying to give meaningful service each day. I pray to my Heavenly Father to give me an opportunity to serve someone in need of help. I live my faith by applying the teachings of our beloved prophet and apostles. The modern revelation we receive is incredible and truly comes from God. I live my faith by loving those around me. That is the best way! Trying to be like Christ!
