Hi I'm Melissa Garry

I grew up in Provo. I am studying to be a pediatric nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all sports, anything to do with being active and outdoors. Singing is something I enjoy doing along with playing the piano. Just music in general brings a smile to my face. I attended BYU-Idaho for 2 years studying in the medical field. I then had the opportunity to go on a study abroad to Jerusalem! I love to cook any kind of food but mostly treats. I worked at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for the past two years along with being a nanny for a family with the cutest Triplets in the whole wide world. My family is the greatest blessing! I love spending all my time with them and my friends. Currently I am serving the people in McAllen,Texas as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have a testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that he lives and loves me no matter my imperfections. I know I can be forgiven of my sins as I come unto Jesus Christ through the atonement. I am a Mormon because it gives me hope for the future. I know that my Heavenly Fathers loves me and I know I am a daughter of God. Through him I can do all things that would be impossible without him. Faith is also why I am a Mormon without faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ I would not be able to make it through this life. I am a Mormon because through the Holy Ghost and my obedience to the commandments I can feel peace, love and happiness in this busy world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments. Heavenly Father has given us commandments, therefore we are expected to keep them. By keeping and living the commandments it allows me to become even more intuned with the Holy Ghost and therefore more intuned with my Heavenly Father. When I live the commandments there is a greater happiness and peace that enters into my life. An example of keeping the commandments from my life is the commandment to keep the sabbath day holy. The sabbath day is a day of rest. It is a day to pay our devotions to our Heavenly Father. I keep this commandment by not shopping, participating in any sort of sport or recreational activity on this day and not working. Instead I attend church, read my scriptures, and spend time with my family.
