Hi I'm Daniel Johnson

I'm a husband of 40 yrs., father of 6 with 9 grand children. I own a drywall company, play piano and organ. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have loved raising my family with the values I was raised with when my parents joined the Mormon Church. These values have brought joy and happiness to my life in a world of increasing shifting values. I served a 2 year mission for my Church and have served in many callings in the Church. As a teenager, I developed a love for playing the piano and then used that talent to play the organ in our worship services for 30 years. I have been blessed with a devoted wife and mother to our children and they are my greatest source of joy in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Mormon Church just before I was 8 years old and I was baptised soon after their baptism. As participated in Church activity, I came to know for myself that the Lord restored his Church to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. My Gramma always doubted the claim that Joseph Smith was a Prophet because of his name, as she termed it, Joe Smith. When I was 18, she was visiting and the subject of the Prophet Joseph Smith entered the conversation with her and my parents. She was being somewhat negative and while my Dad bore his testimony to her, we felt this feeling fill the room, as the Holy Ghost bore an indelible witness to my soul of the truthfulness of what my Dad was saying to his mother. We all wept with joy as we all knew by the power of the Holy Ghost that his testimony was true, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called by Heavenly Father to restore the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth, with the same Priesthood authority held by the Apostles that the Lord had ordained as the foundation of his Church. A year later as I was serving a mission for the church, my Gramma was baptised and passed away a week later. Having gained a powerful witness by the Holy Ghost, I have continued faithful to that witness and I desire to help others come to that same knowledge and testimony. Membership in his Church has brought me peace, joy and happiness in a world that is replacing God and his teachings with things that won't bring true happiness and joy.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Mormon Church, I strive to live the principles of the Gospel that bring me joy and by using my talents, I hope that I can exemplify to others those things that bring the joy and happiness that I have received. I have served in many leadership capacities in the church, in addition to playing the organ and piano for Congregational accompaniment. I enjoy serving the members of our congregation providing leadership and direction to the various organizations that help us become like our Saviour.
