Hi I'm Tania Auna

I find joy in the little things in life. I love nature, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Aloha! I love the outdoors!! I love being outside and surrounding myself with nature. I'm a bookworm, and I enjoy photography. Art and music are passions of mine ~ I enjoy singing and playing the ukulele with my brother. I play the violin, but I love spending time on the piano. I like quoting movies. I have two brothers and two sisters, and I absolutely love my family!! They mean the world to me. I used to go to BYU-Hawaii, but I took a break when I decided to serve a mission. I was called to serve in the Brazil Ribeirao Preto Mission, but also served in the Michigan Detroit Mission before receiving my visa to Brazil. When I returned home, I decided to transfer to BYU-Idaho to continue to further my education.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing that has brought me more joy than being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have prayed to know of the truthfulness of this Church, and I have received an answer that it is. I have found peace and love that has developed through my learning of the Gospel principles and teachings that has brought comfort to me in my trials. I've learned that life is easier when I put my trust in Heavenly Father, even when I don't know why He is asking me to do certain things. I have found that as I have followed the promptings of the Holy Ghost, things have been different than what I expected, but better than what I imagined. As I pray, I've felt the comforting reassurance that I am a child of God, and that He loves me, and that He wants me to succeed. I find hope in that belief. Courage to overcome my weaknesses and strength to pass through my trials because it may not be easy, but I know it is worth it, and that the Lord is with me every step of the way to guide me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all that I do. I serve with a smile, and always try to express my gratitude to those who serve me. Charity truly is the pure love of Christ, and I have felt more happiness as I have looked for opportunities to serve others as he did. Every night I reflect on the blessings of my day, and thank my Father in Heaven for the wonderful family I have, the home I live in, the food I eat. I try to think less about myself, and more about others. I find joy in serving. I find that when I acknowledge the Lord's hand in my life, the blessings are more noticeable and I become a happier person. There are so many things to be grateful for, and I always try to think of something new to thank Heavenly Father for each day.
