Hi I'm Jehrrie Caceres

I was born in New York. I was raised in Texas. The fall of 2010 was the turning point of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from New York, but moved to Texas after my parents got divorced. I helped my struggling mother raise two younger siblings as she juggled three different jobs. As years passed i had much difficulty accepting the concept of faith. Thus helplessly falling into spiritual darkness! Meanwhile my mom was endlessly searching for some light from god, which lead us to church hopping for the next 4 years. Nothing seemed real, true, or genuine! Then, finally my mom started attending meetings at an LDS church and began inviting the Elders over to our house for lessons. I got baptized in the winter of 2010. And I very soon will be leaving for my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

When the elders first began coming over to teach my family lessons I was extremely negligent and quite rude! The beginning of my conversion process truly began when I witnessed my family being baptized. This experience brought uncontrollable tears to my eyes, and a feeling of peace and truth to my heart. A feeling that I truly have never felt before. I've come a long way since that day and believe that daily I continue to be converted to the true gospel of Christ through scripture study and meaningful prayer.

How I live my faith

Like I said ealier, I was going to serve a mission starting on March 27. I've been training for the past 4 weeks. It's actually kinda weird how the time has just flown by! I leave for Peru on May 7th! So excited I can't wait! I will be preaching the gospel to the Peruvian people in the spanish language.
