Hi I'm Devin

I love to do service, read, and run.

About Me

I am on a mission. In high school I ran cross country, wrestled, and competed in track and field. I love learning more about the gospel. I will never know everything but I do know that this gospel makes sense of life. I know that the gospel, once you truly embrace it. Will be liberating and sweet to our taste.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I cannot tell you the exact point of when I really knew from the depths of my soul that this is the truth. This is the true church, I cannot deny it. Every person is a child of God, and he loves us individually. He loves us very much. I can tell you with all truthfulness is that if you are willing to ask and pray with sincere heart and real intent. You will receive confirmation that this is where you need to be. I asked my Father in Heaven in prayer to confirm that I am doing the right thing. I did not get a overwhelming feeling. Rather I received a whisper to my heart that I am doing what I should be doing. That is enough for me. I will be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ for the rest of my life. I will do my all to do what the lord expects me to do. Is it hard? Yes it can be at times. But the small consistent things like studying the scriptures every day (i.e. reading the Book of Mormon for ten minutes a day), a honest prayer in the morning and at night reviewing and asking for help, and living to what you know to be true goes a long ways.

How I live my faith

I help set up and clean up after activities. Whatever there is a service project I am involved. I constantly trying to find someone that I can help every day. Some days (admittedly) are easier than others. But I honestly want to share the sweet fruit of the gospel. For right now though in 2013-2015 I am serving as a full-time missionary. (The Elders in the white shirt and tie with a name tag) Sharing my testimony and serving those in need.
