Hi I'm Cassidy

I grew up in Idaho. My siblings are Samoan, African-American, and Palestinian-American. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been in a dance studio before I could walk. My mother was a dance teacher, and has passed her love of dance down to me. I've performed all over the US, Canada, and Mexico. I have had the wonderful opportunity to discover my adopted siblings culture through dance and the arts. I plan on using dance as an ambassador tool to promote equality, understanding, and love between all of God's children.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a stubborn spirit. When my mother would drag me to church, I would rebel kicking and screaming. I moved out on my own at a young age. As a teenager I no longer was being forced to church, and I had a choice to make. I started going for me. That's when true conversion happened. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time, and it pierced my soul. I could not deny the truth of that book, and as a result the truth of this church. Going out into the world, I saw how quick it changes and how easily it is influenced. I have faith because God is consistant, and he has shown me truth. This truth has never steared me wrong.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Iowa Des Moines mission. I also have had a calling in my church to serve at the mental hospital. Once a week the patients and I have family home evening. I am able to help these children and adults overcome their abuse or addiction through the love of Christ. I'm engaged in community councils where my voice can be heard in ensuring measures to keep morality in sociaty. I work with community on service and improvment projects. No matter where I am, I hope to help people remember they are more then a product of thier enviroment, but sons and daughters of God.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe that The Bible and The Book of Mormon go hand in hand. The Bible tells of Christ's followers and his ministry in the Middle East, and the Book of Mormon tells of the followers of Christ and his ministry in the Americas. Show more Show less
