Hi I'm Tracy

I was raised in the Navy, so my social environment was quite diverse. This helped to convince me that the Church is true for all.

About Me

I'm a retired pharmaceutical salesman. My wife is a retired school teacher. We have been married for 35 years. We have 3 grown children and 11 grandchildren. One of those grown children, her husband, 3 of the 11 grandchildren, and my wife and I all live together as one big happy family under the same roof. Our hobbies are travel trailer camping, recreational kayaking, and classic cars. My childhood life was split between a small rural farming community and Naval base cities, whereas my wife was born and raised in one house until the day we were married. We have made our life together in that same community.

Why I am a Mormon

In the Book of Mormon, there is a passage wherein a prophet of God who was living during that time indicates that the Lord does not want anyone to base their belief that the things in the book are true because someone else believes it is true, but rather to ask God themselves if it is true. Then you will receive your own personal answer to that prayer. Even though I was born and raised in the church, I had to find out for myself if was true. I have done so, and have gotten my own testimony that it is indeed true.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have were called to serve an 18 month church mission as tour guides at a church historical site. Recently we were called to serve another 18 month mission to share the Church's Self Reliance Inititive with those who want to become more self reliant, but don't currently have the tools to do so. Being able to share the Church's history and ways for personal growth with others is a joy and blessing in our lives.

Are Mormons Christians?

The name "Mormons" was a nickname that we were called by those who did not understand that the actual name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and that Jesus Christ is central to our beliefs. Show more Show less
