Hi I'm Korinne Pickett

I am a volleyball enthusiast. I am an aspiring nurse. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Korinne! I was born and raised in Utah my whole life, but attended two semesters of school at Brigham Young University-Idaho! I am the oldest in my family and hopefully I have been able to be an example to my younger brother and two younger sisters. I love my family with all of my heart and I love spending time with them! I am an aspiring nurse and hope to join the medical field one day. I love volleyball, photography, and being outside in nature either hiking or camping. If I am not found hanging out and joking with family, friends, and my adorable dog, I am probably found watching or playing sports, listening to music, reading a book, doodling, pulling a few harmless pranks, and just living life to the fullest! I am currently serving a mission in the Alabama Birmingham mission speaking Spanish!! Hopefully I will come back a Southern-Spanish accent!

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to be born and raised into a family that lived and loved the gospel. My parents and leaders helped lay a foundation of my truth since I was little. I don’t have an earth shattering event that occurred so that I knew the church was true, and I have certainly had to come to a knowledge of the truth by myself. It is from living and experimenting with the word that I have come to know that it is true. My testimony and conversion has been shaped by small experiences of the Holy Ghost testifying that this is the true church. These small experiences form one giant testimony. I know Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the Gospel to the earth today. I know that through the reading the Book of Mormon every day you will be blessed with guidance. I know that through prayer I am able to communicate with God and that he hears, listens, and cares about each thing I pray for. I know that Christ is my brother and best friend. I know that the pain, suffering, agony and death He went through was for each one of individually. I rely on my testimony so much because it is what gives me clarity, peace, and understanding on a day to day basis. It is what keeps me going when things get tough, but even more importantly it is what brings me the sweetest joy and happiness. Simply put, I am a Mormon because it is true. I have prayed about. I have read about it. I have studied it. I have lived. I continue to live it.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith by being an example, serving others, praying, scripture study, attending the temple, sharing my testimony, teaching others, organizing activities, and drawing closer to my Savior! Just by doing these simple things I have found that I am so happy and I want to share it with people! I strive to be a light in the world and show that I am happy because I live my faith.
