Hi I'm Akeila Romney

I live in Ogden, Utah and go to school and work. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are currently going to school and working. I currently work at an Elementary school working with students to help them catch up in reading, math, science, etc. After I graduate with my degree in Music Education, I hope to be able to share my love for music with those that I teach. I love to swim, cook, clean, and spend time outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. I believe there are many things that make us happy that we have available to us. However, I am at my happiest when I am engaged in the gospel. What does that mean? To me, it means reading my scriptures (i.e. Bible, and The Book of Mormon), communicating to my Heavenly Father on a daily basis, attending church meetings, and focusing my life on things that are eternal. I was able to marry my husband to ensure that our family would be sealed together forever. After we pass on, and our kids pass on we will all be able to live together. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of it. These are things I know! -I know that we have a living prophet on this earth today to lead and guide us. -I know that families can be together forever. -I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us. -I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one and only true church on this earth. That doesn't mean that I think that everyone not a member of my church is not loved by our Heavenly Father. It means that because Heavenly Father loves us, he has created a church where we can worship him and try our very best to do all we can to make correct choices. -I know that because Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice and gave his life for me and for you we do not have to go through this life alone. Christ suffered for our deepest sorrows and our sins so we could return to Him someday. This is why I am a Mormon. There are so many different beliefs in this world, but our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he has a plan for each and every one of His children. All we have to do is be willing to follow that plan so we can be happy and live with Him again. We were put on this earth to endure trials. Sometimes we triumph, and other times we fall. But as long as we are doing what we know to be right, we will be happy. That is what God wants for us.

How I live my faith

On Sunday's I live my faith by attending my church meetings. Which include teaching seven year old's about the gospel, and try to instill upon them the knowledge that their Heavenly Father loves them and wants them to make correct choices. During the week I attend Activity Days for girls ages 8-12. This includes fun activities as well as a lesson about the gospel. I also strive to read my scriptures and pray to my Father in Heaven.
