Hi I'm Steven Albrechtsen

I was born and raised in beautiful Logan, Utah. I love music, sports, computers, and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born a smiling baby boy to amazing parents and a wonderful older brother. I was followed by a hilarious little brother and the world's most adorable little sister. I love technology. I am definitely a child of the technology age. I find great joy in performing music by voice, saxophone, and piano. Mountain biking keeps me busy on the great trails of Utah in the Summer. Playing basketball or soccer with my brothers is a daily occurrence. Another hobby of mine is creating short films with friends and family. I attended Utah State University before accepting a mission call to serve in the England Birmingham mission. I have a very close family and all we do is laugh. I believe humor can lighten nearly any situation and provide a lighter mindset to harder times.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because abiding by it's teachings is the only thing that will give me lasting happiness in this life. I know through my own experience the only way to truly be happy is to keep the commandments our Father in Heaven has given us. I have learned life is not meant to be endured but enjoyed. Life should always be met with a smile and that is what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about. Never, ever, ever, losing hope. Our Savior Jesus Christ endured all sorrow and pain so that we can be free and live. He took upon Himself every pain and suffering so that we could be happy and find joy in our every day lives. I live my life every day as a faithful follower of Jesus Christ because I would be so miserable if I didn't. I know this because I have made and continue to make many mistakes in my life but have found forgiveness and mercy through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. This great redemption and forgiveness I have felt in my life motivates me to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. I know it is true and is the only for us to gain eternal life and happiness.

How I live my faith

I have participated in participate in the Church in my community by serving in the Temple, participating in ward choirs, church sports, and fulfilling many callings and responsibilities. I have served in several Aaronic priesthood presidencies and youth councils and groups. I love spreading the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ among my peers through going out with the missionaries, home teaching, and simply making wonderful, lasting, friendships in and outside of the Church.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Steven Albrechtsen
Families are the most important social unit we will ever have in this life and the next. They are eternal and everlasting. The family is central to God's plan for us. The family is where we are taught how to live God's commandments and return to Him with honor. None of us can choose the conditions of our birth, but we can all chose to live better in our families and improve the conditions around us. Show more Show less
