Hi I'm Alex

I am the third of five children. I love cold weather. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a third year student in college studying psychology. I have played softball since the third grade and volleyball since seventh grade, I love playing most sports. I really love watching movies on a rainy day, which we get a lot of in Oregon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much happiness to my life. No other time have I been more peaceful or joyful than when I was actively involved in my faith. Praying daily and reading my scriptures brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and helps me understand the unconditional love He has for all of His children. I have a purpose to my life, and the scriptures and the counsels of modern day prophets are my guide back to my Father in Heaven. I know this church is true, I know Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of all men and women, and that Joseph Smith restored Christ's church to the earth.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a full-time missionary in New York, and I have seen how this gospel blesses families. I am grateful for my family and the support I get from them. I live my faith by applying what I read in the scriptures and striving to be more like Christ every day- that also means recognizing I'm not perfect and going to my Father in Heaven in prayer to ask for forgiveness when I've stumbled. I am so blessed to know this truth, and anyone can know it by praying sincerely and asking the Lord if this is His restored church. God is truly our loving Heavenly Father, and that gives me an identity and security that is so crucial today.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Alex
You can know this church is true but reading the Book of Mormon with an open heart and praying to your Heavenly Father, having faith He will answer your prayer. You will know it is true by the warm, happy feelings you get whenever you read the scriptures and the peace it gives you in your life. If you keep the commandments you will have these feelings with you more often and will have a desire to know more about the gospel of Christ. Show more Show less
