Hi I'm Bryce David Clyde

I grew up in Provo, Utah. I am Navajo, Native American. I play basketball, and various instruments. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Utah. I live in a small town on the edge of the city, and because of that, we get the best of both worlds. We have the country on one side, and the city on the other. Basketball, and both the regular guitar and the bass guitar are my passions. I may not be particularly skilled at them, but I enjoy them and they give me a way to express myself in other ways than talking. I attended Brigham Young University prior to departing on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that every single word of it is the word of God. I was born and raised in the Church, but that does not mean that I don't have a conversion story. Throughout the majority of my life, I blindly believed everything that was told to me about the Church. It wasn't until I was about 15 years old that I decided that I needed to find the answers for myself. So, like many people before me, I got down on my knees after reading the scriptures, and sincerely asked of God whether the Church was true or not. My answer didn't come immediately and I was disturbed by this. I was unsure why God wouldn't tell me what I wanted to know. However, I didn't stop trying. I prayed and fasted frequently for at least 2 weeks before I found what I wanted to know. During one of my prayers, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of comfort that struck me to my core. The spirit that I felt that night was amazing. I had never felt something so powerful in my life. The Spirit answered my prayers and confirmed to me that the Church was true, and that I was doing all that I was supposed to. Since that night, I have tried my hardest to remain true to the faith. I am a Mormon because I know it's true. I am a Mormon because I love my Family. I am a Mormon because it's what God wants.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings on a weekly basis. It is extremely rare that I miss a meeting. I have participated in various presidencies within my ward. There is this program in our ward titled, Home Teaching, where we go to members households and teach them in a more up close and personal setting. I believe that it is going to be very useful when I am to be going on my mission. I am very excited for it by the way. I depart very soon to teach people who do not know of the gospel.
