Hi I'm Tessa

A full-time wife. A full-time mother. Family is my passion. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fairly new parent who has realized that there are not enough hours in the day. I was told this my whole life by my parents and didn't know they were telling me the truth. I am working full-time being a wife and mother. It's an extremely tiring job and can be difficult, but it has always been my dream job to raise a family. I count myself lucky. I absolutely love nothing more than to be surrounded by family, especially my husband and daughter. My husband and I try to find hobbies that we can share and this has kept us close over the last six years. We have enjoyed hot-rods as one of our pass-times and like to go to car shows with each other and with our baby girl. We recently have taken up running as another hobby and are having fun with. Of course our little princess gets to take it easy in the jogging stroller. Being so far from family has been a challenge, but I've learned that being apart of the LDS church means that you will have a ward family almost anywhere you go. I learned on Boy Meets World that family doesn't have to be blood, you just have to care for one another an awful lot.

Why I am a Mormon

My husband and I decided, before we even got married, that we were going to center our lives and our marriage around the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and everything it stands for. This has given us so much guidance in the choices we have made for ourselves and our new family. Living the gospel, trying to be Christ-like in our daily actions, and continually praying is the effort we make to become closer to our Heavenly Father. Our goal as a family is to be together forever and we know that it is possible to do so as long as we live righteously and follow the Lord's gospel. I continue to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have a firm testimony that I can be with my family for all eternity and I find comfort knowing that it does not end here on this earth.

How I live my faith

Living everyday as a LDS member is not as hard as many people might think it is. I don't look at it as the things I can't do, but the things that I can do. I can teach others the things that i know and have been taught. I can share the gospel with someone who is looking for a purpose in life. I can be a positive attitude, a light, a friend, and a helper to those around me. Living the faith everyday is an opportunity to constantly improve myself and work towards the goal of being with my family for all eternity. Getting to church every Sunday and being there to hear what is being taught strengthens me for another week that lies ahead and prepares me for the things that are in the future for me and my family.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Coming to know our Heavenly Father takes sincere and thoughtful prayer with the desire to grow closer to him. Reading the scriptures and keeping His commandments are also tools for us to use to know him better as well. Show more Show less
