Hi I'm Jamayla

I live in Colorado, I'm currently on a mission, I'm a black belt in Ansinkido Karate, and I'm a mormon

About Me

Hey! I'm Jamayla, I love indoor rock climbing and karate, I also am and have taught my self to play the piano and am working on the guitar. I love quotes and life basically, I'm usually a happy go lucky type of person. :) I'm currently serving a mission in Oregon! I love spreading the gosple and having the chance to make eternal friendships!

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a Mormon, I was born and raised in the church, my parents are members, my grandparents are members, you get the point. However, I did still have to gain my own testimony over the years. And the years passed on of wondering if the church was actually true or not. I prayed about the Book of Mormon and just talked and became more sincer in my prayers to my Father in Heaven. I realized that I love the church, IT IS TRUE. THe Gosple has been and will always be forever fully restored. I know that Christ sacrificed because he and God love us and so that we could live eternally with our Father in Heaven, and our families again. I am so grateful for the priesthood and the blessing we can receive form it. I know that when we are baptized that the holy ghost is our constant companion and will never leave us as long as we stay worthy of his companionship. He will guide us and warn us as long as we are willing to listen. I love the Lord our God and cannot wait to spread his words to all the nations.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by, well just being me. My friends notice a different in how i dress, act, speak, and stand. I currently work at my karate school, and my instructor and the parents sometimes ask me why I do thinks I do, or they complement me on things that I do and how I act everyday. I keep in mind that I am a daughter of God and that as such I am obligated to act a certain way in order to honor and respect his name. I try to live my life as an example to other and focus on how Christ acted, then try to make my actions the same.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Of course vistors are allowed at church meetings! We welcome everyone to come and see what we believe and how we worship on sunday. I invite my friends all the time and they think it's weird that we go for three hours but they love the feeling they get when they do go. Show more Show less
