Hi I'm Bryant Foster

I grew up in Idaho. I am currently serving in the Russia Novosibirsk Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Russia Novosibirsk Mission. 2013-2015. I am a "typical" college-aged kid, with a few slight differences. I have not yet gone to college in the normal sense; I took many dual-credit courses (earning High School and college credit) while in High School, earning me almost a year's worth of college (I decided that I would work and earn money to put towards my Mission instead of using it for college for a semester and then going). I enjoy reading, playing games, and spending time with my family. I love to serve others - I was in Key Club and National Honors Society in High School and those really taught me how to love others and enjoy serving them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church - my family is very active in their callings and I have grown up knowing that this Church was true. Over time, however, I began to feel as though I was slipping - the things I thought I knew were true were being put in the back of mind. I decided to take Moroni's Challenge and asked God if that which I had read was true. I was prompted then to read my Patriarchal Blessing. One line stood out to me more than anything than what I had read in it before. Feelings that are hard to describe came over me. It was then that I truely knew that the Book of Mormon is true. Jesus is the Christ. He suffered and died for my sins - and I am eternally grateful for that! I know that God lives and he has a plan for us; He will help us throughout all of our struggles and trials. I know this Church is true and that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet on the Earth today. I also know that the Gospel was restored through Joseph Smith, a true prophet of the Lord. I love this Gospel and can't imagine my life without it!

How I live my faith

While being in my ward, I am a hometeacher with my father. I love the members - and inactive/nonmembers alike - whom we teach. I don't have any other callings in my ward because of my decision to serve a Mission my records are in my home ward, while I attended the Young Single Adult College Ward in town). However, my next calling is to be a full-time Missionary, and I can't wait!

Are Mormons Christians?

Bryant Foster
I don't understand why religious people of different faiths insist that we are not Christian. Isn't the definition of Christian (unfortunately, I cannot quote an actual definition) to believe in Jesus Christ and His teachings? I have also heard that we "believe in a different Christ;" that "our Christ" spoken of in the Book of Mormon is different than the one spoken of in the Bible. Was there more than one Jesus Christ? No. Mormons are Christians because we believe in the one and only Jesus Christ - our Savior and Redeemer of the world; the only Begotten of the Father. Show more Show less
