Hi I'm Ann

I'm a Mormon from Springville, Utah. I grew up in Utah, but have traveled to many countries.

About Me

I am a mother of four children and 17 grandchildren. They are my joy. Happiness happens when I am actively working outside or around the house. I have a large yard and nothing is better than the smell of fresh cut grass or the beauty of a flower. I am a retired Nurse executive, but I have the privilege to serve others in my profession through being a medical/surgical nurse and a labor and delivery nurse. Every delivery was a miracle and to be part of it was a spiritual experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know this is the church on the earth at this time that has the keys to perform key earthly functions, such as baptism and marriage. It is the direction God has provided for me to follow. I know this through the spirit testifying to me of its truth and this testimony came through scripture study and prayer. The amazing thing about our Savior and God the Father is their love for me. They love me so much that they continually reconfirm for me, through the spirit, that I am on the right path and the truthfulness of this Church. God wants me to have joy. He has given me the church as an avenue to obtain that joy. He is there to support me through trials and challenges because He loves me so much. He loves all of His children on this earth that much.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily through service to those around me. That could be family, co-workers, neighbors or a stranger on the street. To help me recognize those opportunities I seek help and inspiration from God through prayer and scripture study. Being a mormon gives you more opportunities to serve. One of those that I currently have is as a leader of a young single adult group of around 800 women. These are women between the ages of 18 -31. They are amazing. We have the opportunity to study our scriptures together on the sabbath and I am blessed to help them in their smaller groups learn about leadership in the Lord's church. One of the great things about being a Mormon is the women's organization. This organization help's all women recognize and be reminded that we are daughters of our Father in Heaven. Another wonderful opportunity has been given to me, by our church, that is to serve as a missionary with my husband of 43 years. I am going to be able to use my "mother" training and my nursing background to help the missionaries in the Philippines Missionary Training Center to be ready to serve their missions.
