Hi I'm Whitney

I love nature. I love to learn new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 22-year old daughter, sister, friend, and aunt. I am willing to try almost anything. I camp, hunt, hike, rock climb, read, write, draw, do pyrography (burning art/words onto wood), snorkel, garden, and so much more. I don't mind getting my hands in the dirt. I believe in hard work to earn what you want. I am dedicated to everything I put my mind to. I earned my Bachelor's in December 2015 in Biology. I am going on an LDS mission to Guam. When I get back, I am going to start an internship then get into grad school, where I will study marine mammal behavior and communication. Basically, I love life and am learning everything I can while I am here on this beautiful planet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. I love this Gospel. It has brought me peace through life's storms, and guidance at it's crossroads. I love my Savior, and am grateful every day for sacrificing His life just so I can live with Him, Heavenly Father, and my family again through the eternities. Though man is not perfect, this Gospel is, and I want to share the light, peace, and guidance it has brought me with the world.

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel! Currently, I am a ward missionary. This means every week we go visit the new members, the ones who just had their records transferred to my ward, or anyone we haven't seen in awhile. I have been called by God to serve His children in Guam for 18 months. So, in a couple months, I will go and pour my heart and soul into service. I will be serving my fellow man, and telling them all about this Gospel that has taught me so much: about the light it can bring into your rainy days, about the peace it can bring to your soul, and about the joy it can bring into your life. I will tell them about my Savior and their Savior and his Atonement, and His never ending love for them, no matter what they have done. Through Heavenly Father's guidance, I will tell them about Eternal Families, the power of prayer, loving your neighbor, the Holy Ghost and his guidance, grace, God's word. Though man is not perfect, this Gospel is, and I want to share the light, peace, and guidance it has brought me with the world.
