Hi I'm Weston J Barney

I've lived in Salt Lake City my whole life. I love to play the guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and was just recently called to the New Jersey Morristown Mission. I love music - in fact I love writing music on the guitar. I graduated high school with an Associates Degree. I plan to go to college at the University of Utah and become an Orthodontist somewhere down the road. I love sports. I played baseball for 12 years and also enjoyed playing basketball and football. I love camping and being outdoors; fishing, hiking, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a Mormon. I continue to follow our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, because without this Church I don't know who I would be, why I am here, or where I am going in life. However, through my knowledge of this Gospel, I know who I am, I know why I am here, and I know where I'm going. The Gospel brings so much happiness in my life that I can't even begin to explain the joys that I've experienced that have come through being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints. I know this church is true or else I wouldn't be a member still today. I also wouldn't be going on a mission to New Jersey if I did not know that this is in fact the true church that Joseph Smith Restored through the power and help from our Heavenly Father. I am proud to be a member of His Church. I am continually blessed with awesome opportunities, an amazing family, amazing friends, and more importantly, a Savior and Redeemer who loves and cares so much about me. I love this Gospel and am excited to share this glad message with people around the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others as often as possible. I like helping others and love to see others happy and comfortable. I read my scriptures every night so that I can have a strong relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. Currently, I am the First Assistant in our Young Mens program. I like going to ward activities and getting to know more people in my ward. I try to keep myself in "wholesome" environments so that living my faith becomes easier. I don't let others opinions get to me because it is Jesus Christ's opinion that matters; if you are doing what you are supposed to be doing than Our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ will be proud of who you are and will bless your life in so many ways.
