Hi I'm Bobby

I grew up in Southeast Texas. I have lived all over the world and am not ex-military. I am a Ham Radio Operator. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Southeast Texas. I grew up in the Vietnam Era and did not pass the physical for the military. I moved all over for work. I was a private Pilot and owned a Piper J5. My wife and I have been back-country campers (tent) and mountain hikers in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. We took many photographs of wildlife while there. I am a husband of over Twenty-Six years. We now live in the South-East part of the United States. My wife and I are both Licensed Amateur Radio Operators. Mine for almost fifty years and she has been licensed for Seven Years. We both completed the CERT Training under the Los Angeles County CERT Program. I was also very active in Emergency Response Communications. I am still a very active Ham Radio Operator.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I found the Church quite by "accident" while visiting Salt Lake City. We went to the Church Visitor's Center at "Temple Square" where we were introduced to being Together Forever as an Eternal Family. The Sister Missionaries spoke of this while they showed us the Visitor's Center and the Conference Center. We both knew in our hearts that what they said is TRUE. We, as best friends, really wanted to have this. We studied with the Missionaries of the Church when we returned to Los Angeles. They answered ALL our questions. Our first time to Church was on Christmas Eve in 2006. We were both baptized on 14 January 2007 and we were confirmed members of the Church on 21 January 2007. We studied, attended Church and Prayed about what we were learning. We progressed and were Sealed Together for Eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on 26 January 2008. A lot of the members of our Church Unit attended our Sealing Ceremony. We have continued to grow and to study what we have learned. I follow the Teachings of JESUS CHRIST in our daily lives and practice our faith all the time. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know without a doubt that HE is the Redeemer of the World. I know that my wife and I will be Together Forever as we always dreamed when we met.

How I live my faith

I conducted Emergency Preparedness Classes in our Church Unit. This included things like the necessity of a "72 Hour" Kit. I also conducted Amateur Radio License Preparation Classes within our Church Unit. Many of the participants were not members of the Church. They did get to see that we are just ordinary people that live a Faith Based life. I still have the credentials for being a "Pre-License" teacher for Amateur Radio Licensing. We live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all of our activities. We do all that we can to live Christ-Centered lives. Not just on Sunday but all the time. 24 Hours a day and seven days a week.
