Hi I'm David Joseph Neville

Born in Arizona, raised in Utah, living in Maryland. I help people live happier, healthier lives. Love flows.

About Me

I graduated debt-free with my MBA. I still do gymnastics for fun. I like playing the piano and singing Broadway songs about love and loss. I play tennis when the weather is warm, and believe that love can conquer all. If you need to learn how to eat yourself happy, I can help you with that. :-) I wish Ron Paul would have been President. I pin on Pinterest, tweet on Twitter, friend on Facebook, and share on Google+. I really feel like technology was designed to bring people closer together. I believe nature is a gift from God, and that stopping to smell the roses can heal the broken heart, mend the weary spirit, and soothe the tired soul.

Why I am a Mormon

I was "born" in the church because my parents were both converts (mom in her late teens; dad in his thirties). The better question would be, "Why am I still a Mormon?" I'm in my early thirties and single. I live a life of relative ease, and have the spare time and cash to do whatever my heart desires. My heart desires to serve God in whatever capacity he sees fit. That means, currently, that I am a scout leader for the 14-15 year old boys. We do a lot of camping and physical activities. I find that wherever two or three are gathered in his name, there He is also. God is love, and the more I love the more I realize the character of Him I seek to diligently serve. Favorite scriptures: Bible Because it reminds me to see as God sees: 1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. Because it helps me realize that God has a plan for me: Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Because the counsel of good friends helps me know what to do, and can remind me of my diving purpose: Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Book of Mormon Because I have a Savior, and our Heavenly Father's plan is one of joy: 2 Nephi 2:25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy Know that God lives, that he loves you, and that you are his child. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

I live it everyday. I read a quote years ago about praying that other people could feel the love of God in their life through the look in my eyes. I've tried to live up to that since reading it. I try to uplift and inspire, cheer and cajole. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and joy is ultimately found by spreading love wherever you go. The Dolly Levi, from the musical "Hello Dolly" says, "Money, pardon the expression, is like manure. It's not worth a thing unless it's spread around, encouraging young things to grow." I feel the same way, so I send friends cash for their birthdays, or mysteriously send them random gifts in the mail. I think happiness and love can be spread faster than we think. Remember when Mark Twain (Samuel Clemons) said that he could live for two months on a good compliment? I feel the same way, so I try to give genuine compliments to other people.
