Hi I'm Caitlin

I'm a Mormon. I love the outdoors, skiing, volleyball, camouflage, unicorns, and sunshine.

About Me

I am a college student. Despite being busy with studies I like to make every day a good one. I enjoy living an active lifestyle by running, playing volleyball, skiing, and playing sports in general. Since coming to college I have run two marathons and encourage everyone who like running to do one; it is an incredible experience! I love to enjoy nature whether it is snowy mountains, red rock arches, or forestry. I love to have fun and spend time with my friends and family. I come from a non-traditional family (divorced parents) but I love them all. I am so lucky to have 2 wonderful big brothers; they have kids so I get the privilege of being an aunt which is so fun! I also love meeting new people, chatting, and learning about other peoples lives. I love the hispanic culture and had the opportunity to study Spanish in Mérida, Mexico. It was an incredible experience; I fell completely in love with the culture there. I recently received a mission call to serve in the California Oakland/San Francisco mission Spanish speaking and am so unbelievable excited. I am so excited to spread the amazing message of the gospel to others. It has changed my life for the better and I would love to share the joy and peace it brings with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the principles of this church are true and change lives for the better. It's a simple as that. I know this because I can feel an obvious difference when I am striving to be obedient, maintaining high standards, increasing knowledge of gospel topics, and striving to follow Christ's loving example. I also feel genuine joy as I do these things. This joy is different than the happiness that comes from winning a volleyball game or eating a bowl of cookie dough ice cream. It is a deep and lasting joy that I am convinced can only come from the gospel. I love this church because the principles are so interconnected and complete. Everything is covered. Ranging from being with loved ones for eternity, the word of wisdom to take care of our bodies, repentance, and a supportive and loving Godly brother. The coverage of the gospel spans over everything Most importantly, I am a Mormon because I love Christ and want to follow in his footsteps. I love him so much because of his incredible example. He loved everyone, had an open heart, and was able to show his genuine love and care for all those he came into contact with. He suffered an atonement because he loved us and because he cares about our well-being. He wants us to return after living a righteous life. I know that this gospel is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the truest book in the world and its words can bring deep, lasting, and satisfying joy. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us so much and want the best for us, including our happiness on a day to day basis. I know that as we put forth effort to follow Christ's example we will be blessed. I know this because I have felt it in my own life. I have been able to do things I did not think I could. I hope and pray that those seeking a knowledge of the gospel may find it; this is my desire because of the joy it has brought into my life. I love this church, it is the best thing in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest every day to follow Christ. This may seem like a daunting task, but I know that as I put forth effort, Heavenly Father blesses me with energy and strength to get the things done I need to. I try to study the scriptures and/or Preach my Gospel (a missionary preparation manual) in the mornings to start the day off right. It is amazingly noticable how much better the day goes if I devote some time to spiritual matters in the mornings. I also strive provide service, a smile, or help to others who may be in need. Even when life gets busy, nothing feels better than helping someone or making someone's day better. I know that as we take time out of our busy lives to help others Christ notices and blesses us for our efforts.
