Hi I'm Selina

I love fantasy novels. I'm studying to be a science teacher. My mom passed away from cancer when I was 14. And I am a Morman

About Me

I'm currently going to college, and studying earth science teaching. I'm the youngest of five, I recently got married in the Oquirrh Mountain temple, and I love my husband and family so much. I love reading. My favorite books consist of fantasy and sci-fi, such as Ender's Game and Lord of the Rings. My love of reading came from my mom, who passed away from cancer when I was 14, and I miss her every day. I love living life to the fullest and making every moment count.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel, and I know it's true. There have just been too many experiences in my life that testify of it's truthfulness, for me to believe otherwise. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us so much that He sent his only begotten Son to atone for our sins. And I know that our brother, Jesus Christ, did that because He loves us, and wants us to return to Him. When I was 14, I lost my mom to cancer, and that was very tough for me, but thankfully I had the knowledge of the gospel and the plan of salvation. In the few days she had left, she had enough strength to write down three simple words. Three words that my family and I will never forget. Happy, Together, Eternal. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I recently got married in the Oquirrh Mountain temple. My husband and I teach a primary class in our ward. Our students consist of seven and eight years old's. As they have all prepared and had the opportunity to be baptized, they have shown me what it means to truly have the light of Christ in our lives. Any time we teach and ask them how they feel about Jesus Christ, they smile and have this twinkle in their eyes. They truly do love their Heavenly Father, and their love has rekindled that love in my life.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I know that families can be together forever. I know I will see my mom again, and that is the greatest feeling in the world, that this life isn't all there is. I know this for a surety. My family is eternal, and we will be together forever. Nothing makes me happier than this knowledge, and that is what this gospel brings. Show more Show less
