Hi I'm Sadie!

I'm a best friend, sister, daughter, optimist, photographer, Disney movie fanatic and Child of God.

About Me

I am a Latter Day Saint Christian, a young adult, and a college student with a silly personality. I love sunshine, baseball games, Texas, and laughing! Photography is one of my biggest passions and I always have a camera in-hand. Currently, I am going to school, enjoying time with friends, and preparing to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; I am very excited to share this Gospel truth and joy with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I believe they work together to explain all the truth Heavenly Father would have us know at this time. Reading one wihtout the other does not give you all the details to the information you need; one without the other would be like only be reading half of the story. I am a Mormon because the things I am taught at Church are true. The things I read in the Book of Mormon are ABSOLUTELY true, and this Book has been the answer to many of my prayers. I have had personal experiences when I have felt the peace of Jesus Christ and it brings me real, everlasting happiness that cannot be bought. One place where this peace can always be felt is inside Heavenly Father's beautiful Temples. I would not give up the ability to enter His Temples for anything else in the world. With faith in God, we do not have to worry through the difficult trials of life. Our Father in Heaven has a plan for us already and I know that we will be able to see my family members again after this life through His plan. If we strive to do our best with the time we have on this earth, we have the chance to live in exaltation with our Creater, even God. This knowledge has certainly reassured me through my years of uncertainty and confusion. I am a Mormon because it gives true answers to the many questions of life and provides an incredible, real peace.

How I live my faith

I am grateful that we have all been given our agency, the ability to choose right or wrong. With this agency we can make decisions for the direction in which our lives will travel. Luckily, we have a Prophet on the earth today named Thomas S. Monson and he guides us with modern day revelation. If we humbly follow his council, we will be truly happy and I am a witness that this faithful obedience works. My mother is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and my father is not. Growing up, I was given the choice of whether I wanted to follow the teachings of the Church or whether I wanted to choose another way of life. However, I have seen the difference between people who have the true Gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives and those who are without light and hope. It's never really been a question for me because, at the end of the day, I know that being a member of this church is right. Going to Church makes me happy. And although life throws curve-balls at us many times, my devotion to good activities such as Institute classes, service, and Temple attendance have all made my life better. I have chosen to follow the Savior because I know I can trust in Him, He will never lead me astray, and His Church brings so much light into my life. I LOVE being a Mormon!
