Hi I'm Margrethe

I'm from Norway. I've lived through a lot of hardships and a lot of blessings and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student hoping to one day become a neurologist. I love to take pictures of God's beautiful creations and enjoy being out in nature. Languages are fascinating to me and I love to learn about other's cultures and languages whenever I have the chance to.

Why I am a Mormon

Living in Norway and being one of the only members in our town made it difficult for our family to feel like we really "fit in" and we have always had people ask us questions about our religion and why we are Mormons. I always just relied on my parents to answer all the questions and I never really tried to find out for myself. After we moved to the U.S and had lived here for a few years, my parents decided to go to a Spanish ward. My siblings and I stayed in our English ward because our Spanish is not very good. I slowly started to realize that I did not have to go to church anymore if I didn't want to because I didn't have my parents forcing me to go anymore. This is when I gained my personal testimony. I truly believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we can have the chance to some day live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that through him, the church was restored and the Book of Mormon was translated. I am so grateful for a living prophet today that receives revelations from God and that through him and his apostles, we can receive guidance and know what our Heavenly Father wants of us. I am thankful for the knowledge of knowing that Heavenly Father loves us and that we can talk to him through prayer and that He will answer those prayers if we just take the time to ask him.

How I live my faith

I am a counselor for the young women in my ward and I get to plan and attend activities to strengthen themselves and to help them have more confidence in who they are and to help them see the potential that all of Heavenly Father's children have.
