Hi I'm Kegan

I am an Eagle Scout with a slight obsession for technology and innovation.

About Me

I may fit the definition of a stereotypical nerd, such as : I build and repair computers, I play and make video games, I am learning to program and solder electronics, I play Dungeons and Dragons, I Live Action Role Play (Larp), and I am always on the lookout for great tools (software and hardware). I am the second oldest of six immediate siblings and as of now I am preparing to serve a two year mission.

Why I am a Mormon

While parts of my family trace back to the early pioneers, I believe that even if you are born into a Christian family (or any religion for that matter) you still have to find truth for yourself. To me Heavenly father is a God of justice and reason, the problem with today's world is man's reason and definition of justice are becoming further and further skewed from the simple truths all around us. I have seen how having limited morals or ethics makes life more confusing than necessary, often leading people to make wrong choices due to not seeing the full scope of their actions. We all make mistakes and we all have our faults, but with Christ we can all become more than what we were, all we have to do is let him. Following the teachings of Christ has helped me to build my own ethics and make responsible decisions that will help me reach my true potential. Although what that potential is, I will find out with time.

How I live my faith

I like to share my insight with others and always love the opportunity to gain experience in anything. I assist with my Scout Troop and Venturing Crew, some of my best friends were made at scouting events. I believe that service is key to prevent selfishness and teach humility. In this time of constant advances in all fields the main obstacle is sifting through the over abundant information, which is why I like good old fashioned word of mouth recommendations for products as well as friends.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We help anyone in need, I believe that helping someone empowers them to help others. If you lift up those around you then they gain the ability to lift up others. Show more Show less
