Hi I'm Haley Green

I'm a convert. I'm a missionary. I'm a cat lover. I love the sound of laughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary in the Alpine German Speaking Mission. It's the best and most beautiful mission in the world. Everyday is an adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up religion was never a topic of discussion in my house. My family didn't go to church and we didn't identify with any specific beliefs either. I often had friends whose families went to various churches though and was always interested in that and often went with them to activities. When I was 16, my best friend and some of her family had just become members of the Mormon church. I'd never heard about that church before nor did I know what they believed. As we were very close she shared what she was learning in Seminary one day. She started explaining parts of The Plan of Salvation and I had questions that she didn't know how to answer so she invited me over to her house to meet with the missionaries. They explained a little about the Book of Mormon with me and asked me to start reading it, which I did from time to time. Shortly after that I started going to Seminary myself which helped me so much to understand what I was reading and to make friends with members my own age. I loved going to church and learning the Gospel and I loved the way it made me feel and how accepted I was by the ward. Through my faith and obedience I realized that this was the true church and that it was exactly where Heavenly Father wanted me to be. I made the decision to get baptized even though my family was not interested the way that I was. So now, I've been a member of this wonderful church for 3 years and it's the best decision I've ever made. I'm so grateful for the knowledge it gave me and it's influence in helping me to always make good and responsible decisions in my life. It's lead me to the most incredible places that I never thought I'd go and shown me a happiness I've never felt before. One day I hope my family will be united with me in truth and we can be sealed together in the temple to live together in the eternities.

How I live my faith

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Haley Green
Missionary work is such an important part of the church and is a blessing to be a part of. Serving a mission is a personal decision and is not required of anyone. Those who have a desire to serve the church in this way are called to the work. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Haley Green
We belive that keeping ourselves sexually pure is highly important. It shows respect for the gift of our bodies and our respect for the commandments. Creating life is the most God-like thing man can do while on Earth which is part of the reason Satan attacks it so much. We must protect such a sacred act and only partake when we are within the bounds set by the Lord. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Haley Green
We have the fullness of the Gospel and people can feel the truthfulness when presented with our message. We have real answers to important questions and nothing fills you like the love of Christ that you bring into your life when you open the door to him. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Haley Green
We do our best to lead good and honest lives and above all strive to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We do what we can to bring him closer to us like praying, reading our scriptures, and serving others when we see need. Show more Show less
