Hi I'm Kate

I'm a redhead. I'm a daughter. I'm a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love adventure! Whether that is something simple like trying a new recipe or something big like moving to a new place; I am down for it all. I love life and think that there is so much good and I want to experience it all.I am going to school to be a writer or a teacher, maybe both! I love people and try to live by the quote "there is no such thing as strangers, only friends we haven't met." Some of my favorite things to do include traveling, cooking and writing on my blog; I also enjoy shopping, and anything outdoors. I have a crazy love for dark chocolate, johnny cash and cheetah print.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there is nothing that sends shivers through me & brings me greater joy than knowing that I am a daughter of God and that he has a specific plan for me everyone else. The comfort, peace and happiness that comes from not only knowing that it is true, but living this gospel is indescribable! My testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most valuable thing that I have and I treasure it above anything else.

How I live my faith

I have been an active member of the church since I was a little kid and I love serving in any way possible. I have a held a few callings growing up but my favorites include teaching in the primary, which was a class of 7-8 year olds and being a music coordinator for sacrament meeting. I have found that the more involved you are in your ward, the closer you grow to the Lord. As you serve his children you grow to love them and learn from them which strengthens your testimony. I am looking forward to serving a mission in a month. It will be an amazing experience to be set apart and learn and teach the gospel 24/7. I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve in Georgia and I feel like I already know and love my brothers and sisters there!
