Hi I'm Michael

I love music, science, math, computers, the Utah wilderness, pretty much everything in between, and I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I go by Michael. My biggest pursuit in life is my education. I love chemistry, calculus, magnetics and electricity, computers, and everything in between. I graduated from Lone Peak High School in 2013, have lived in Denmark as a missionary for the church, and have attended Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. When I was young I lived with my Mom in Kanab, which is by Bryce and Zion national parks in Southern Utah, and I loved it. I love the outdoors. Camping, fishing, riding various small vehicles, and mountain biking, and hiking are my favorite things ever. As long as it is outside I can enjoy myself. I also love paintballing with my step Dad, older brother, and uncles, and reading. When I began high school I moved to my Fathers home in Northern Utah where I pursued the sciences and music. I play piano, viola, and guitar, and I have messed around a bit with a few other instruments. I'll never ever play on stage or audition for anything, but I love to play regardless. Currently guitar is my passion. When I was in high school I also lead various clubs and teams, took a bazillion AP classes, tried out for scholarships, general nerd stuff you know. My parents think all I do is play video games of course, like all parents, but I really don't know why. I actually enjoy programming games which they seem to think is the same thing. Anyway, that is me, or at least a bit about me. If you want to know more you'll just have to meet me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I love being a member of the it. Like most people, in the church and outside it, I had a lot of challenges when I was younger. These came from a variety of sources, my family, my 'friends', trying to find my way just in general, you know. The usual for teenagers. However, a knowledge of who I am and where I came from has helped me to get to where I am today and I know that without the gospel I will never become who I want to be let alone who the Lord wants me to be. For this and because I see daily the blessings that come from actively learning more about my Father's Plan of Happiness I love the church, I live its teachings, and I will never leave it.

How I live my faith

I consider myself to be outgoing, but reserved. My values challenge me to reach out to those around me and share what I know, through what I do and what I say. I try to do that, and although it is a challenge sometimes I constantly try to live what I believe and tell others about it too. I know the standards the church promotes will help people, communities, and nations. Not that forcing them on anyone will make anything better, but living it can and that is what I try to do daily.
