Hi I'm Randy

I love my family and look forward to spending time with them, both here and after this life.

About Me

I am a proud father of three beautiful girls and a husband to a wonderful wife. My passion is designing and building cool stuff...especially robots! I also enjoy playing the piano, running, mountain biking, hiking, picnics, camping, playing soccer, reading, spelunking, scuba diving, learning, trying new things, playing games and, of course, spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Who are the Mormons? We're imperfect but we're trying to be more like Jesus. I know I make mistakes but I also know that Jesus Christ has provided a way for all of us here on earth to return and live with him after this life. He loves us and wants us to be happy. As we learn what is right from wrong we can all repent and "come unto Him" as the scriptures say. I was born in the church to loving parents but, even so, I didn't want to take it for granted that I would stay a member. So, I studied and prayed so that I could know for myself. Through the joys of life, the pains of loss, the aggravations of failure and the triumphs of success I have felt the aiding, guiding influence of a loving Heavenly Father. It was difficult to recognize at first but as life goes on and the same influence is felt over and over again it is evident to me that the Gospel I have studied for so long is true. I hope you will honestly seek answers by studying the words of God (through his scriptures) and praying, with an open heart and mind, to know what is truth and what is not. It is one of the greatest journeys you could ever take. Don't look for perfection in the people but for perfection in the teachings of the Savior. As the Savior said, "Come and see".

How I live my faith

Currently I work with the youth by teaching early morning seminary. This is a religious class held every morning before school for kids from 9th grade to 12th grade. We are currently reading and studying the New Testament in the Holy Bible. It is an honor to see this kids sacrifice their sleep every morning to learn more about Jesus Christ and his Gospel. We try to learn his teachings and then apply them to our lives so that we can be more like Him. I also have been asked to play the piano for the small children at our church. There are special songs prepared for their level of understanding that are beautifully direct in teaching the basic beliefs of the church. I like to think that our community is helping to raise the next generation of responsible adults that will contribute to society in a meaningful way.
