Hi I'm McCall

I'm a student, a traveller, a laugher, a musician, and a lover of people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to go driving in the mountains and singing around the piano with my friends. Learning new crafts and exploring the outdoors brings me joy. My family and friends are the most important thing to me and I am so grateful I can be with my family forever. I am studying Therapeutic Recreation at university and I am so excited to use what I'm learning for the rest of my life and help people. Last year, I went and taught English to kids in China and I loved and learned so much and hope to have more opportunities like it. Right now, I am serving as a missionary in South Carolina. I am so thankful that the prophet announced that we can go on missions at a younger age. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else but meeting the people I am meeting and sharing with them the joys of the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I love Jesus Christ with all my heart and my love continues to grow. My love for Him is what brings me to love others. Life for anyone isn't always easy. I've been through the turmoil of having a brother I love dearly have Asperger's along with other mental disabilities. It's been hard on my family and myself but through the Gospel, I have faith and hope. I've learned to trust in God and He gives me strength and comfort through the Spirit. I am a Mormon because it brings me sincere, lasting happiness. Being a Mormon allows me to return to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and live with my family for eternity. The Gospel carries me through my daily life and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I know that God lives and that He sent His beloved son, Jesus Christ, to die for us and atone for our sins. I know He did this because He loves all of His children, everyone who has been or will be on the earth, and wants us to return to Him and be happy. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore Christ's Gospel on the earth again. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and continues to enlighten me every day. I know that God and Jesus Christ love me personally and I love them. This is my testimony and my conviction. It's what I know to be true and helps me stay on the path of righteousness and happiness especially when times are tough.

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and will do anything to carry on His work. I go to church every week to learn more about my Savior and to create relationship with my brothers and sisters in the Gospel. Every month, I go and visit sisters in the ward that I have been assigned to and teach them about that months message given to the prophet from God to share. I am visit them as a support and as a friend they can always call in. I am a ward missionary. Where I live, there are few people who aren't Mormons, so my job is to get people excited about sharing the Gospel and the love of Christ. Along with my fellow ward missionaries, we create activities to help our ward get excited about sharing the Gospel with those back at home or people they meet on the streets. We write letters to missionaries and help them feel supported and loved. I go to the temple, the House of the Lord, every week. I feel close to my Heavenly Father and my family when I do this. It gives me an added strength and happiness throughout the week. I feast on the scriptures and pray daily and feel my relationship with God strengthened because of it.
