Hi I'm Kerry

I am a single mum in London and love to cook and bake. I am a Mormon and I am very proud of who I am.

About Me

I am 31 years old and a single mum of two girls, bringing them up by myself and doing my best to teach them the best way to live their lives. I am the only member of the church in my family besides my eldest who was baptized last year. My family don't live near me so am the sole carer. The kids dad is around but only sees them occassionally. I have gone through many trials and tribulations and had to learn many things the hard way. What is amazing is how my Heavenly Father has never left me no matter how far I turned the other way. As I am not working at the moment I spend two days and sometimes more volunteering in my children's school and I love it so much. I have been volunteering now about 8 years in different child care settings. I am now embarking on my next adventure moving back to my home town and closer to my family and finding a new job. I love to bake everything from cakes to pastries depends what people want. I don't bake for others as much as money is tight so I just bake for charitable means as well as missionaries. I am very old fashioned when it comes to cooking I like to cook good hearty meals like meat potato pie, roast dinners, stews and pies. No more talking of food it's making me hungry :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? this question really made me think. I am a Mormon because I have Faith in my Saviour and His Atonement. I know he lives and leads us to do what is right. I know my Heavenly Father is the true and living God and that he love us. I know he has a plan for us and he wants us to learn for ourselves what our future holds. That He is always there for us to help us when we need and ask for it. I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints there is nothing left unturned to help us. We have the Scriptures to help us study, learn and understand, to help us in time of need and times of happiness. I want to talk somewhat about my conversion. I was 17 years old when the Missionaries came into my life. The were the light that I was looking for. For many years I never fitted in was always bullied. When I was being taught I felt peace and love. I was Baptized and I would like to say I lived happily ever after but my confidence had been crushed and I have a tendancy to put others before myself. So I didn't stay close to the Gospel and was lead into many temptations and many trials which have been very hard but they all taught me lessons. I am now fully active once again, the Lord is blessing me by being able to sort out the past so I can build a future to finally have the confidence to be who I want to be. It is never to late to say your sorry and change your ways. Just never give up trying no matter how many times you fall down.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life the best as I can by keeping it as simple as I can. Read the scriptures, daily prayer, teaching my children to understand the Principles of the Gospel, and go to church as often as I can. The main way I try to live my faith is through my testimony, using what I know is true and learn from the things above. Also to use them in every day life by being a good example, treat others as you want to be treated, dress modestly, respect everybodies individuality, find good in everyone, smile and be happy.
