Hi I'm Amy

I like adventures, playing, and smiling! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing. Anything! Soccer, basketball, frisbee, tag, cards; any type of game, I'm in. I like throwing pottery and coloring, but that's about the extent of my artist abilities. I love to run. I'm a college student living in Utah, and am taking am going to spend 18 months as a missionary in San Jose, California! I love my family and can't wait to be with them for eternity. The church is true!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to grow up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and would not change a thing. Growing up with such essential knowledge and doctrine has guided my life and shaped who I am today. My personal testimony began when I decided to sincerely read the Book of Mormon with the intention of learning and feeling that it was truly the word of God. As promised in the introduction and in Moroni 10:5, I received a witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, with a testimony of Joseph Smith as the prophet of the Restoration to follow. I know without a doubt that Thomas S. Monson was called of God to lead His church, and the twelve Apostles were just as divinely inspired. They receive revelation for the church, and I know that following their council is the best way to come closer to God.

How I live my faith

As well as volunteering at the local hospital and tutoring at an elementary school, I love to serve others in quiet ways. Whether it be baking cookies, driving a neighbor to the grocery store, or just taking the time to listen to others, I believe that it is the little things in life that really make the difference and influence others for good.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

The current prophet, seer, and revelator for the entire world is Thomas S. Monson. God has always called prophets, such as Moses, Abraham, and Noah, to lead His children here on the earth. Joseph Smith was the first prophet to be called of God after the death of Christ, and since that time we have always had a prophet on the earth. These men hold all the keys to act in God's name and with His authority. I absolutely love when I here the prophet's counsel. I feel in my heart that he really is a man of God--my testimony has only been strengthened as I apply the counsel in my life and watch as the results are blessings beyond my imagination.
