Hi I'm Evgenis

I'm Russian and have been born in Latvia. I know that my Savior lives.I serve in Greece-Athens Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been ab about 5 years old when my mom joined the Church. Later in 13 January 1999 my mother's mother baptized and in 13 February 1999, when I was 8 years old, I have been baptized. My brother also has been baptized at 8 years old in 2000. I love my family. I also appreciate my mothers effort in growing me and my brother up. Since we didn't had a father close to us she did that almost alone. Thankfully, my grandparents (parents of my mother) helped a lot. So in one point I have two mothers. I finished Technical School as Auto Mechanic and planning to continue to study Avionics Engineering at University after my mission. I really love mechanics and different kind of transportation machines. What I love in Latvia, it's a nature. I love the nature. It's a wonderful creation of God. Even when it's cold and everywhere is white because of snow I love the beauty of the nature. I also love cooking. Perhaps that is one of my talents. I'm not perfect in that but I continue to improve. Because I love it I enjoy it. I speak 4 languages in the moment: Russian, Latvian, English and Greek! I also wiling to learn death language. As well, I love music and workout, it specially combine them together. Sport is great thing which helps people to have a healthy and strong body. And correct music in correct time makes miracles. I love it. So that's me and I'm a Mormon!!!

Why I am a Mormon

Even that I baptized when I was 8 years old I went inactive in the Church when I grew up. Once in a wile missionaries and Branch President visited me. One day President said something special to me about what I wasn't sure. The same day I knelled down and prayed to the Heavenly Father. After several days I received my answer. Even after that I wanted to be sure that that wasn't a mistake. So I prayed again and again in less than a week I received the same answer but in different way. I testify, that I know that God really exist and He answers prayers. I also received answer for my prayer that this Church is true and that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. Because I get my answer and I know that this is true I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I fallow the prophet whom Heavenly Father has called. Before my mission I served as a Sunday school teacher in the Church. Now I sacrificed 2 years of my life and left everything and went to serve the Lord as a full-time missionary in Greece and Cyprus by learning Greek language which I never even heard how it sounds like. And I did so, because I know that Saviour lives and this is His Church. I know that I have been called by God through the living prophet to serve.

What do Mormons believe about family?

The Family is one of the most important thing in the world. Family was created by God for our protection, learning and happiness. We believe that families can be forever together and after this life on the Earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints concentrate a lot on the families by creating many programs how to strength and protect families. Both, husband and wife, are important and they both are equal companions but with different responsibilities. But both are important. I grew without the father and my mom did an excellent job to grow me and my brother, so she was and still important for me. But I also understood how much family needs a father because I didn't had one. And if husband and wife work together and do they best children will respect those efforts. Remember one thing. It doesn't matter if your children not listening to you. What is really matter that they watching you. So, be good example for them. My favorite scriptures about families: Ephesians 5:22-29, 6:1-4, 1 Corinthians 11:11-12, Mosiah 4:14-15 Show more Show less
