Hi I'm Pamyla

I joined the Church when I was nineteen years old. It felt as if I was comming home.

About Me

I grew up in So. California, graduated from college and raised a family, not unlike many of you. I was converted to the church and joined over 30 plus years ago, not long after graduating from high school. The easiest way I can explain it is, It just felt like as if I was coming home. I feel so lucky that the gospel has answered all of life's important questions for me. I never really feel alone, I have always felt my Heavenly Father's love, guidance and protection. I've always felt a sense of direction and purpose in my life and the peace it gives me which is so important / needed in our life in such troubling times. I don't know how so many people can manage without this wonderful gift.

Why I am a Mormon

Many times it seems that people get caught up in attaining a lot of 'things' or proving we can be successful in competing for status (of many kinds) in this world. Striving to do your best in many worthwhile goals can be a good thing but sometimes, however it causes us to 'look beyond the mark' of what is truly important. I am intent on putting / loving my family, God, and the happiness and well-being of others, first. These are things that last forever and are important / matter to me. They are the things that bring me 'true' / genuine happiness. There is a simple yet profoundly beautiful joy that comes from the understanding / knowledge of the fullness of the gospel as well as understanding and applying the principals the Lord has given us. Nothing in this world can come close to it. I know how happy I am to have this gift and knowledge, and that is why I invite you to discover it too.

How I live my faith

I am always involved in musical and creative pursuits and doing diverse types of volunteer work both in my community and at church. It is common for church members to be quite active in giving service to others. Whether humanitarian work the church does in general, sharing your talents and abilities, or personal visits to individuals, groups / families, members are often actively involved in serving others. And as for me, I also strive try to put my family and God first because these are the things that I hold dear to my heart.
